Ministry of Internal Affairs: Over 31,000 crimes registered in Azerbaijan in 2021

In 2021, state bodies that are subjects of operational-search and investigative activities registered 31,131 crimes, the report.az information Internet portal reports with reference to the speech of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov at a meeting of the collegium of the ministry.

In particular, the minister noted that 94.2% of them were offenses investigated by the internal affairs bodies and the prosecutor’s office in a procedural manner: “84% were crimes that did not pose a great public danger and were less serious. As a result of the operational-search activities and investigative actions carried out, 88.9% of crimes were uncovered.”
