Trial continues in the case of a former director of the abolished State Media Support Fund

On November 17, 2021, the trial continued in the criminal case of Vugar Safarli, former executive director of the abolished State Support Fund for Mass Media Development, and Bunyamin Ismailov, Adalet Veliyev, Nadir Mammadov, Bakhtiyar Fatullayev, Temkin Khalilov, Telman Tairov, who held high positions in this fund, Valekh Orujev, Takhmina Yagubova, Shakhin Ibrahimov and Namig Hajiyev, APA reports.

At the trial chaired by Judge Azer Pashayev in the Baku Court for Grave Crimes, the accused Nadir Mammadov answered the questions of the state prosecutor. Answering a question about the use of low-quality materials in the construction of buildings, Nadir Mammadov noted that Ali Hasanov’s son Shamkhal Hasanli monitored the purchase of materials and indicated that Shamkhal Hasanli controlled the purchase of materials. On this issue, they contacted him by e-mail. In the third building, almost all materials were controlled by Shamkhal Hasanli himself. The defendant himself did not work there even for a salary. He was told that they would get his son to work abroad, so he worked.

The process will continue on November 18, 2021.
