Court process in the case of a false journalist continues

On November 16, 2021, the trial of the false journalist Ata Abdullayev, accused of extortion, continued in the Baku Grave Crimes Court, oxu.az reports.

At the meeting chaired by Judge Fikret Garibov, the witness Siyavush Karimov, who works as a salesman in a telephone shop, was interrogated. The witness indicated that he had known A. Abdullayev since 2007. According to the witness, the defendant came to the store several times to fix the phone. He changed gadgets every two or three years, the last time – iPhone 11 and iPhone 12. I don’t know with what money he bought them.

Further, it was reported that the witness Ziya Mammadov was outside the country, so the testimony that he gave to the investigation was read out at the trial.

At the trial, A. Abdullayev filed a petition to ensure the participation in the court of the representative of the Executive Power of the Absheron region in the village of Masazir Shakhlar Hasanov as a witness. The request was granted. The court decided to forcibly bring Sh. Gasanov to court.

The next meeting is scheduled for November 30, 2021.
