Criminal case against former kindergarten director sent to court

The Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General has completed an investigation within the framework of a criminal case initiated on the basis of citizens’ appeals in connection with the illegal actions of the former director of the kindergarten in the village of Suparibag, Sabirabad district, Gulnara Mejidova, oxu.az reports.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that G. Mejidova, who held the said position in 2017-2020, ensured the absence of three employees from work and appropriated their salary in the amount of 14,000 manats.

G. Mejidova was charged under Articles 179.2.3 (misappropriation or embezzlement committed by a person using his official position) and 179.2.4 (misappropriation or embezzlement causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The criminal case was sent to the court for consideration. The damage caused was fully compensated.
