Arrested for stealing gold items

A man has been detained for committing a series of thefts from apartments in the Bakikhanov settlement of the Sabunchu district of Baku city, APA reports citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

So, in the course of operational-search activities, the previously convicted Elmin Jafarov, suspected of committing thefts, was detained. During the investigation, it was established that he had robbed 8 houses in the territory of the Bakikhanov settlement. Elmin Jafarov stole gold jewelry worth 103,000 manats from these houses. With this money, Jafarov bought 2 cars and other valuables.

The detainee confessed to the crime.
