The trial of E. Mammadov began

A trial has begun on a complaint filed against former MP Elton Mammadov as a special charge, APA reports.

At the trial presided over by Judge Gunel Samedova in the Sabail District Court, it was announced that E. Mammadov sent a letter to the court and said that he would not be able to take part in the trial for a good reason.

Then the head of the legal department of the Apparatus of the Presidium of ANAS, Kamal Aliyev, who filed a complaint under the special charge, submitted an additional statement to the court in connection with the complaint.

K. Aliyev noted that after he filed a complaint with the court, E. Mammadov, speaking on one of the YouTube channels, insulted him again.

The court dismissed this application.

Due to the fact that E. Mammadov could not take part in the process, the meeting was postponed to February 9, 2022.

APA notes that a complaint has been filed against E. Mammadov as a special charge. The plaintiff appealed to the Sabail District Court and demanded that E. Mammadov be charged under article 147.2 of the Criminal Code (Slander combined with accusing a person of committing a grave or especially grave crime).

Recall that the former head of the Department of Affairs of ANAS, former deputy Elton Mammadov is the brother of the former Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov.
