A criminal case has initiated against an officer of the Ministry of Defense

A criminal case has been initiated in Azerbaijan against a high-ranking military man, oxu.az reports. The former head of the criminal investigation department of the Baku military police garrison, Lieutenant-Colonel Feyzi Huseynov, is accused of giving a bribe.

A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 312.1 (giving a bribe) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The investigation has been completed, the case has been sent to the Baku Military Court.

According to information, F. Huseynov was suspended from service for inappropriate behavior during World War II.

A few years ago, his name was also mentioned in connection with the death of an officer of the Azerbaijani army, Khalid Shiraliyev. The officer who left the service died three days after the detention of the military structure headed by F. Huseynov. The mother of the deceased officer claimed that her son’s body had marks from blows and that he had been beaten to death.
