The illegal export of a large consignment of gold jewelry was prevented

Azerbaijani customs officers prevented the illegal export of a large batch of jewelry from the country, oxu.az reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.
So, at the post “International Sea Trade Port” of the Main Customs Department of Energy Resources and Maritime Transport, using the X-Ray X-ray machine, the hand luggage of an Azerbaijani citizen traveling on a ship to Kazakhstan was examined.
During the inspection, images that aroused suspicion were recorded on the monitor, so they checked the luggage and found a multifunctional radio receiver in one of the bags, inside of which were hidden eight bundles wrapped with adhesive tape.
They contained jewelry – 13 rings and 13 pairs of earrings with a total weight of 172.56 g, which were not declared and hidden from customs control.
