In the village of Lahij, Ismayilli region, antique items were stolen from a store and a nearby house, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the country’s Interior Ministry.

Unknown persons stole a collection of 17th-century antiques worth about 10,000 manats, as well as old copper utensils from the beginning of the last century.

As a result of operational-search activities, police officers detained suspects in the commission of this crime. They turned out to be residents of the city of Baku – the brothers Murad and Timur Abdullayev.

During the investigation, it was found that they sold the stolen dishes in the capital to various metal collection points.

The detainees confessed to the crime. The dishes stolen by them were confiscated from the points as material evidence.
