The case of the accused of stealing a large amount of money from the house was sent to court

Baku has completed a preliminary investigation into the criminal case of Lamiya Abbasova, accused of theft on a large scale, reports oxu.az.

The materials collected on the case were sent to the Baku Court for Grave Crimes. The case was referred to Judge Ilham Mahmudov.

The incident is believed to have occurred between July 1 and November 7, 2021. In Baku, $200,000 (340,000 manats) was stolen from Asaf Mehdiyev’s house, located on Dilara Aliyeva Street.

A. Mehdiyev heads the publishing house Şərq-Qərb (“East-West”). He is a close associate of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Mehdiyev. Most of his books have been published by this publishing house.
