Gang members detained for shoplifting

Members of the gang who stole from shops were detained, the report.az information Internet portal reports with reference to the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

The owners of two stores located in the villages of Hajisamedli and Muradli appealed to the Agsu district police department, stating that unknown persons had stolen tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, women’s clothing and food from their objects for a total of 3,000 manats.

As a result of urgent operational and search activities carried out by the police officers, a resident of the Agsu district, previously convicted Sarkhan Huseynov, residents of Sheki Nijat Guliyev and Elvin Dursunaliyev, a resident of the Balakan district Tofik Hajiyev and a resident of the city of Agdash Rovshan Gasimov, suspected of committing thefts, were detained.

They confessed to their deeds and reported that after the sale of the loot, they divided the proceeds among themselves.

The investigation also established that the detainees also stole from a store in the Agdash region.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact in the Agsu district police department. It is not excluded that gang members committed similar crimes in other areas. Operational and investigative activities are ongoing.
