A criminal case was initiated against the deputy director of the art gallery

The Mingachevir town prosecutor’s office conducted an investigation in connection with an appeal to extort money from a citizen under the guise of employment by the deputy director of the Mingachevir art gallery, Fatma Alekperova, reports the online news portal report.az.

The investigation established reasonable suspicions that Fatma Alekperova made false promises to her friend about being hired in order to be transferred to the Mingachevir Central City Hospital, while receiving 7,000 manats from him.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact under articles 178.2.4 (fraud causing significant damage) and 32.4, 312.1 (incitement to give a bribe) of the Criminal Code.

The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
