V. Hajiyev sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property

A judgement was passed on the former head of the Executive Power of the Imishli region, William Hajiyev, according to which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, reports oxu.az. The verdict was announced at a trial chaired by the judge of the Baku Court for Grave Crimes Azer Pashayev.

The public prosecutor requested that V. Hajiyev be sentenced to 13 years in prison. In addition, the court ordered the confiscation of his seized property.

The verdict noted that property worth 6 million 300 thousand manats and V. Hajiyev’s money should be confiscated in favor of the state.
