Beach robbery suspects detained

Persons who stole phones and money of citizens on Shikhovo beach were detained, reports.az informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

Thus, the 41st police station of the Sabail District Police Department received a complaint about the theft of a mobile phone from Baku resident A. Sadigov on the beach of the Shikhovo village.

As a result of operational activities carried out by police officers, a resident of the Jalilabad region, previously convicted V. Asadov, was detained, suspected of committing a theft.

In the course of operational activities, it was established that this was not the first theft committed by the detainee on Shikhovo Beach. In particular, he stole 150 manats and a mobile phone from a Tofaş car, three mobile phones from the bags of a woman and a man, and together with E. Narimanli, a wallet from a Mercedes car, in which there were 1,400 manats, a bank card and documents.

E. Narimanli was also detained by the police. An investigation is underway.
