A person who spread false information about the Azerbaijani army arrested

In recent days, some social media users have disseminated untrue information in order to undermine the image of the Azerbaijani army, the work carried out to strengthen the state’s defense capability, Trend.az reports citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

In order to prevent phenomena aimed at violating socio-political stability, human and civil rights and freedoms, persons who allowed such actions were invited to the Prosecutor General’s Office. Social media users – the head of the jamaz.info website Ibishbeyli Fikret Faramaz oglu, the head of the miq.az website Alyshov Agil Balabek oglu, a resident of the town of Shirvan Ismail Elchin Khankerem oglu, a resident of the Lankaran region Jabbarly Ali Allahverdi oglu and a resident of the Khachmaz region Fataliyeva Nurana Etibar kyzy were warned in accordance with Article 22 of the Law “On the Prosecutor’s Office” on the inadmissibility of such negative situations in the future.

In addition, in accordance with Article 24 of the Law “On the Prosecutor’s Office”, a criminal case was initiated against Shakhmuradov Tofig Tahmuraz oglu in connection with the posting of information prohibited by law on his page on the social network “Facebook” under Article 388-1.1.1 ( placement in an information Internet resource or in an information and telecommunication network of information prohibited for dissemination, as well as non-suppression of the placement of such information) of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which was sent for consideration to the Nizami district court of Baku city.

By a court decision, Tofig Shakhmuradov was sentenced to administrative arrest for a period of one month.
