During the operation, 3 drug plantations were discovered, an armed man was detained

In the course of operations carried out jointly by employees of the Balakan District Police Department and servicemen of the Internal Troops, 7 people involved in drug trafficking and cultivation were detained, APA reports quoting the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

So, during the operation “Darama”, carried out in the highlands of the region, 3 drug plantations were discovered.

The persons who owned the plantations were found to have 900 kg of hemp (1098 drug-containing bushes), about 13 kg of marijuana, two hunting rifles and cartridges for them.

During another operation, Tadjaddin Kaltaev and Elnur Aliyev were detained, who were found to have marijuana. During the investigation, it was established that they bought the drug from the previously convicted Israfil Aliyev. He was detained and handed over to the investigation; about 200 g of marijuana were found in his possession.

Also, during another operation, Elkhan Garayev, a resident of the district, was detained for illegal possession of firearms. A Kalashnikov assault rifle and 30 cartridges for it were found and confiscated from him.

Criminal cases have been initiated on all the facts, and the investigation continues.
