Over the past year, more than 280 people have been detained while trying to cross the state border on fake documents

Over the past year, Azerbaijani border guards have detained 448 border violators, 861 border regime violators, 2,594 wanted by law enforcement agencies, five trying to cross the state border using documents belonging to other persons, and 289 using forged documents, oxu.az reports citing the deputy head of the State Border Guard Service. Service (SBS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant-General Abbas Khalilov, who spoke at today’s reporting event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the service.

An attempt to smuggle smuggling across the state border for a total of 76,443,870 manats, including 95,151 units of psychotropic drugs and 1 t 14 kg 275 g of narcotic drugs, was suppressed.

In addition, as a result of the measures taken to identify intelligence and subversive activities against Azerbaijan, a citizen of Azerbaijan, attracted by foreign special services to cooperate, and six people as suspects were detained.
