22-year-old murder solved

The Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have released joint information on the disclosure of a crime committed 22 years ago, day.az Internet news portal reports.

Thus, the information notes that on February 15, 2000, a resident of Ganja Yolchuyeva Solmaz Rzagulu gizi (born in 1939) was found dead in her apartment. Since the identity of the killer was not established, the case was closed.

On August 16, 2022, the proceedings were reopened. It was established that the residents of the city of Ganja, who entered into an agreement with Elsever Mammadov, born in 1977, Khayal Safarov, born in 1980, and Arzu Hajiyev, born in 1978, deliberately killed Solmaz Yolchuyeva with the aim of robbery.

E. Mammadov was detained. Two others died in 2001 and 2004.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact, an investigation is underway.
