A criminal case was initiated on the fact of delibrate arson

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of deliberate arson, oxu.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was noted that on August 19, 2022, hotline 112 of the department received information about a fire in a garden plot belonging to a resident of the village of Garagaya, Ismayilli district, Isa Abbasov, and in the territories adjacent to it.

Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was extinguished, and the nearby forest was protected from fire. More than 3 hectares of territory burned out due to the fire.

As a result of operational measures carried out by the State Fire Supervision Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was established that the arson was committed intentionally by I. Abbasov (born in 1951), who confessed to his deed.

The materials collected on this fact were sent to the relevant structures for a legal assessment.
