Military Prosecutor’s Office: investigative and operational activities on the fact of the massacre perpetrated by Armenians in Balligaya continue

Comprehensive investigative and operational measures in connection with the massacre committed by Armenians in Balligaya in 1992 are currently under the control of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and the procedural leadership of the Deputy Prosecutor General – Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan Khanlar Veliyev, reports oxu.az with reference to the senior assistant military prosecutor – head of the press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, chief adviser to justice Firad Aliyev.

According to him, in connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the prosecutor’s office of the Goranboy region under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a preliminary investigation was carried out. Then the investigation of the criminal case was continued in the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

F. Aliyev noted that during the preliminary investigation, numerous investigative actions were carried out, including interrogations of witnesses and victims, their legal heirs, various examinations were appointed and carried out, relevant requests were sent to the relevant departments and other necessary investigative and operational measures were taken.
