Drug trafficking suspects detained

As a result of operations carried out by the employees of the Agdash District Police Department over the past 20 days, 11 suspected of cultivating narcotic plants, involvement in the illegal circulation of potent drugs and psychotropic substances were detained and prosecuted, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

Thus, on the basis of the operational information received, four residents of the district were detained – Agshin Shahbazov, Beybala Mammadov, Nasir Samedov and Hamid Bilalzade, who were engaged in the cultivation of drug-containing plants in the yards of their houses and in the field.

50 hemp bushes with a total weight of 80 kg were confiscated from them, and marijuana was also seized from G. Bilalzade.

As a result of another operation, seven more people were detained as suspects – Shahla Allahverdieva, who was engaged in the sale of psychotropic substances, as well as Sabuhi Veliyev, Sarkhan Abduragimov, Amirkhan Sadigov, Ruslan Rasulov, Khayal Aliyev and Vugar Mammadov. They were found and seized heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine.

Criminal cases have been initiated on all the facts, and investigative actions are ongoing to identify the criminal ties of the detainees.
