Person who made fraud in respect of veterans sentenced

The trial on the criminal case of Elvin Ahmedpour, accused of large-scale fraud, has completed in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, oxu.az reports. According to the judgement, E. Ahmedpour was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison.

According to the materials of the case, Elvin Ahmedpour, having promised several veterans of the first Karabakh war assistance in acquiring apartments in the Qobu Park residential complex in the Garadagh district of the capital, embezzled large amounts of money belonging to them.

He was charged under articles 178.2.2 (fraud committed repeatedly) and 178.2.4 (with causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
