Detained for illegal oil extracting

On the territory of the village of Seydimli, Terter region, persons were identified who were illegally extracting oil by artisanal methods from long-term mothballed oil wells and transporting it in the cargo compartment of a car for the purpose of selling it, the report.az Internet news portal reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

The artisanal extraction of oil from almost 20 wells, contrary to the requirements of fire safety regulations, as well as its collection on the backyard of a residential building create a fire hazard that can cover a large area in a short time.

With regard to the detained Huseynov Nazim Shirin oglu and Humbataliyev Eyvaz Jabrail oglu, a protocol was drawn up in the State Fire Supervision Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an appropriate appeal was sent to take the necessary measures.
