Ministry of Internal Affairs: Eight suspected of drug trafficking detained

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the 26th police station of the Yasamal District Police Department, eight people were detained suspected of drug trafficking and psychotropic substances in the capital, in particular, on N. Narimanov Avenue (formerly Sovetskaya) and Gadirli, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

During a body search and a search in the homes of the detainees, a large consignment of heroin and methamphetamine, as well as electronic scales, were found and seized.

In their testimony, the detainees admitted that they were engaged in drug trafficking.

The matter is under investigation.
