State Border Service on the results of the service for August 2022

As a result of measures to combat crime, 237 people were detained and transferred to the relevant authorities, who were wanted by the law enforcement agencies of the republic, APA reports quoting the press service of the State Border Service of the country.

In particular, an attempt to leave the country by 537 people who were banned from leaving, and an attempt to enter 17 people who were banned from entering the country, were prevented. In addition, in August 2022, 67 violators of the state border were detained, of which 45 were citizens of Azerbaijan, 1 citizen of Sri Lanka, Turkey, Bangladesh, 7 of India, 5 citizens of Iran and Pakistan, 2 of Uzbekistan, 35 people were also detained who tried to cross the border on false passports.

729 people were detained for violating the rules of the border regime, and appropriate measures were taken against them.

As part of the measures to combat crime, 237 people were identified and transferred to the appropriate authorities, the exit from the country of 537 people who were forbidden to leave the territory of the country, as well as the entry into Azerbaijan of 17 people who were forbidden to enter Azerbaijan was prevented.

Over 156 kg of narcotic drugs and 800 psychotropic pills were withdrawn from circulation as a result of measures to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs
Thanks to the fight against smuggling, smuggling worth almost 3,405,367 manats was detained.
