International projects presented in Shusha

With the organization of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the support of the State Reserve Department of the city of Shusha, on August 26-28, the project “Şuşa yaradıcılıq emalatxanası” (Shusha creative workshop) was held in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan – the city of Shusha, with the participation of creative figures, haqqin.az reports.

Within the framework of the project, representatives of the creative sphere from Azerbaijan and Turkey visited the Shusha fortress, the House of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, destroyed by the Armenian invaders, the Bulbul House-Museum, the Mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, the monuments to famous figures of Azerbaijani culture shot by Armenians – Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, visited Jydyr duyzyu.

The project brought together about 30 creative people. The goals of this project are to inform the world and local community in more detail about the vandalism committed on our historical lands and destroyed monuments through works of art, as well as to familiarize them more closely with the cultural heritage, rich history and traditions of Azerbaijan.

In addition, these days the city of Shusha hosts the international project “Youth ArtCamp Shusha and Baku” (“Şuşa və Bakı Gənclər İncəsənət Düşərgəsi” / “Youth Creative Camp – Shusha and Baku”), which is being implemented as part of the “Year of the City of Shusha” 26 August – September 5, 2022.

The project “Youth ArtCamp Shusha and Baku”, implemented by the Ministry of Culture, the National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, the Embassy of our country in Spain and the National Commission of Andorra for UNESCO, is organized for foreign artists who, inspired by the historical places and nature of Azerbaijan, will create their works . This project was created in 2008 at the initiative of the Andorran National Commission for UNESCO with the aim of sharing experience and values, as well as promoting international harmony, coexistence, mutual respect and cooperation. Artists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, the USA, Andorra, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries take part in the project.

The project is of great importance for promoting the pearl of the centuries-old rich culture, architecture and urban art of Azerbaijan in the world. Within the framework of the project, in addition to the city of Shusha, trips are also planned to Aghdam, Fizuli and Jabrayil regions.
