Ministry: more than 14,000 war invalids received a lump sum payment

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan has appointed 113,000 social payments to 101,000 people, consisting of members of the families of martyrs and war veterans, about 2,000 insurance payments were paid on state compulsory personal insurance, report.az news portal reported citing the ministry. 

Within the framework of the new program of social support for persons with disabilities as a result of injuries received during military service before August 2, 1997, and the heirs of deceased persons, more than 14,000 people were provided with a lump sum payment.

From the beginning of 2021, the pensions of martyr family members, war invalids, national heroes, and from the beginning of 2022, social benefits have been increased by an average of 60%.

More than 13 thousand family members of martyrs and war veterans are involved in active employment programs, including up to 8 thousand people in the self-employment program.

In total, the package of social support for family members of martyrs, participants in the war, covered 117 thousand people, they were provided with 232 thousand social support services.
