The Prosecutor General’s Office disseminated information about A. Zeynalli and E. Sadigov

A criminal case has been launched at the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office and an investigation is underway on the fact of receiving a large amount of bribe by an official, APA reports quoting the General Prosecutor’s Office.

Thus, the investigation revealed grounds for suspicion that in August 2022, the General Director of Xural Yayınları LLC Zeynalli Avaz Tapdyg oglu received from relatives the former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Baku Steel Company Mammadov Rasim Hikmet oglu, whose criminal case is being considered in Baku court for serious crimes, through his lawyer Sadigov Elchin Ali oglu as a bribe of 20,000 manats, promising not to distribute offensive materials about him and to prepare appropriate programs to form a positive image about him.

Based on the collected primary evidence, Avaz Zeynalli was charged under article 311.3.3, Elchin Sadigov – under articles 32.5, 311.3.3, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen by the court.

The necessary investigative and operational activities are ongoing.
