Seven suspected of theft and drug trafficking detained

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by employees of the Shamakhi District Police Department, seven people were detained who committed a series of thefts in the district, as well as those involved in the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

So, the relevant police department received appeals on the fact of the theft of gas pipes, iron electric poles and wires. The investigation found that the crimes were committed by the same persons. They turned out to be local residents with previous convictions – Famil Gumbatov, Tural Dashdamirov and Farid Atakishiyev. In their testimony, they confessed to the crime.

As a result of another operation, local residents suspected of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, previously convicted Imran Shikhaliyev, Tarlan Atakishiyev, Natig Bekhruzi, as well as a resident of Goychay Parviz Abdullayev, were detained. The heroin and methamphetamine found in each of the detainees were confiscated by law enforcement officers as material evidence.

According to these facts, criminal cases were initiated in the investigative department of the Shamakhi District Police Department. At the moment, the detainees are being checked for involvement in other illegal acts.
