The number of war veterans receiving one-time benefits under the new social support program implemented by the order of President Ilham Aliyev has exceeded 15,000 people, APA reports quoting the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

This program covers persons who have been assigned a disability as a result of injuries received in military service before August 2, 1997 and the heirs of those who have died.

After assigning lump-sum payments to them in a proactive manner, these funds are transferred to their bank accounts and they receive a corresponding SMS notification.
