Customs officers seized methamphetamine transported in transit through the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

A Mercedes-Benz car was stopped at the Julfa checkpoint on the state border of Azerbaijan, on which plastic products were transported to Turkey in transit through the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), reports oxu.az with reference to the State Customs Committee (SCC) NAR.

So, during the check, 79 kg of 100 g of the psychotropic substance methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated in the investigation department of the State Customs Committee of the NAR under Article 206 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an investigation is underway.
