The trial on the case of the ex-head of the Shemkir region has begun

The trial on the criminal case of the ex-head of the Shemkir District Executive Power Alimpasha Mammadov has begun in the Ganja Court for Grave Crimes, report.az news portal reports.

At the trial, chaired by Judge Nural Aliyev, the personal data of the accused were clarified. The preventive measure against A. Mammadov was left unchanged.

During the trial, it turned out that the former head of the Executive Power had been transferred from the Detention Facility of the State Security Service to the Detention Facility of the Penitentiary Service.

The next trial is set for November 24, 2022.

A. Mammadov was detained by the State Security Service in April last year as a result of complex operational and investigative measures.

He was charged under articles 179.4, 193-1.3.2, 308.2, 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.
