Man detained for committing 1 million manat fraud

The Main Department of Investigation and Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information that a citizen, who deceived under the pretext that he would bring potatoes from abroad in May-September, took 265,000 manats from a resident of the Jalilabad region and 647,000 manats from a resident of the Gadabay region, APA reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the operational-search measures, a suspected resident of the Jalilabad district, Jeyhun Zeynalov, was detained.
