Another ex-official detained in the case of bribery of officials

The investigation of the criminal case against the head of the State Archive of the Jalilabad region, Togrul Iskenderov, and the representative of the head of the regional executive office for the administrative-territorial district of the village of Shilevenge, Bagir Shiraliyev, who were detained as a result of operational-search activities carried out by the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, has been completed, reports oxu. az.

The case was sent for consideration to the Lankaran Court for Grave Crimes. A preparatory hearing chaired by Judge Mushfig Mammadov is scheduled for December 1, 2022.

Based on the evidence collected in the case, T. Iskenderov and B. Shiraliyev were charged under Articles 311.1 (taking a bribe), 32.4, 312.2 (incitement to give a bribe), 178.2.1 (fraud committed by a group of persons by prior agreement), 178.2. 2 (repeated fraud), 178.2.3 (fraud committed by a person using his official position) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
