Over 900 kg of drugs seized by Azerbaijani State Customs officers

In the first 10 months of 2022, employees of the State Customs Committee (SCC) seized about 905 kg of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors from illegal circulation, the report.az Internet news portal reports, citing the press and public relations department of the State Customs Committee.

Thus, as a result of the activities of the customs authorities (including in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies), 64 facts of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in the amount of 904.611 kg were revealed during the reporting period.

92.6% fell on heroin and methamphetamine, which are the most dangerous drugs (458.297 kg of heroin and 379.494 kg of methamphetamine). In addition, 57.103 kg of opium, 5.98 kg of hashish, more than 2.653 kg of marijuana, 260.89 grams of cocaine, 442.904 grams of methadone, more than 732 grams of methylenedioxyamphetamine, 254.79 grams of mephedrone, 104.3 grams of MDMA (ecstasy) were found and seized. , 97.28 grams of amphetamine, etc.
