Baku hosted a conference dedicated to the Middle Corridor. The President took part in the event

On November 25, 2022, an international conference on the topic “Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security and Economics” was held at ADA University in Baku, APA reports. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of the conference.

Among the participants of this important event are the heads and representatives of the leading think tanks of the USA, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, France, Israel, Sweden, Italy, Georgia, Canada, Egypt, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia and Turkey.

The conference discusses security aspects of the Middle Corridor, economic opportunities in the region. In particular, in this context, an exchange of views is being held on the importance of the Zangezur corridor, new transport opportunities that will be created by the East-West corridor, issues of expanding and diversifying international cargo transportation.
