Attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

On November 28, 2022 at 21:15, smuggling of narcotic drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented on the territory of the frontier post of the Goytepe border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS), located near the village of Arazbary, Bilasuvar region, oxu.az reports citing the press -center of the SBS.

As a result of the measures taken, a resident of the Garadagh district of Baku, Elchin Niftaliyev (born in 1990), was detained. During a personal search, more than 5 kg of marijuana were found and confiscated from him.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
