More than 400 people banned from leaving Azerbaijan

In November 2022, 47 people were detained for violating the state border of Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service (SBS). Of these, 27 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 14 of Pakistan, 3 of Iran, one each of Turkey, Liberia and Russia.

In the course of measures to combat illegal migration, 29 people were detained while trying to cross the state border with fake passports, visas and date stamps.

1,288 people were detained for violating the rules of the border regime, and the prescribed measures were taken against them.

As part of measures to combat crime, 291 people wanted by the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan were detained and transferred to the relevant authorities, 428 people were banned from leaving the country and 25 from entering.

As a result of measures to combat illegal drug trafficking, 18 kg 947 g of drugs and 419 psychotropic pills were seized.

In addition, contraband worth a total of 297,302 manats was detained, including tobacco products, foreign currency and mobile phones.
