19 people released in connection with the “Terter case”

19 people have been released in connection with the Terter case, APA reports citing information from the General Prosecutor’s Office.

It states that at the plenary session of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, due to new circumstances, court decisions were again considered against 19 persons accused of treason and other articles that were held in 3 criminal cases, these decisions were annulled and returned to the relevant courts. After that, the decisions in these cases were annulled by the respective courts and returned to the prosecutor, who was in charge of the procedural control of the preliminary investigation.

It is reported that since during the additional investigation all cases related to criminal prosecution were thoroughly and objectively investigated, the guilt of these persons on charges of treason was not proven, it was decided to terminate the criminal prosecution against 10 of them (crimes against military service etc.), the decision to arrest them was canceled and they were released.

At the same time, the investigation comprehensively and objectively studied all the details in connection with the deceased Huseynov Mehman Telman oglu and Agazade Elkhan Kamaleddin oglu. Due to the fact that their guilt was not proven, decisions were made to terminate the criminal prosecution against them on acquittal grounds.
