Person suspected of extortion detained

A person suspected of embezzlement of funds of individual citizens and extortion was detained in Shirvan, reports the Internet news portal report.az, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. The detainee is Tabriz Jafarov, who is suspected of stealing 20,000 manats each from two separate citizens, 10,000 manats each from two other citizens and money from the bank cards of one citizen.

In this fact, a criminal case has been initiated in the Shirvan regional police department under articles 177 and 182 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
