The cassation appeal of a person who fought in the ranks of illegal armed groups was not satisfied

The Supreme Court considered a cassation appeal against the verdict against Azerbaijani citizen Ramin Khanmuradov, accused of participating in hostilities as part of ISIS and other terrorist organizations, oxu.az reports. The decision was announced at a trial chaired by Judge Alesker Novruzov. The appeal was not satisfied.

The Baku Grave Crimes Court sentenced R. Khanmuradov to 10 years in prison to be served in a strict regime colony.

According to the prosecution, in 2013-2015, Ramin Khanmuradov participated in the activities of illegal armed groups in Syria and Iraq, including the terrorist organizations ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and Jund al-Sham.
