Two tax service officials arrested on charges of bribery

During the operational-search activities carried out by the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office, illegal actions were revealed by the head of the Territorial Tax Department No. 8 of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy Adilov Zaur Sefi oglu and the head of the field tax inspection department of this department Aliyev Ajdar Nasib oglu who took bribes from citizens, APA reports referring to information released by the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office.

In this regard, a criminal case was initiated in the Main Directorate under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, on the basis of the collected preliminary evidence, these officials were held criminally liable under Articles 308.2 (abuse of official powers that entailed grave consequences), 311.3. persons by prior agreement or by an organized group) and 311.3.3 (receiving a bribe on a large scale), by a court decision, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen for them.

At present, investigative and operational-search activities are ongoing in the criminal case.
