Money-extortion suspect arrested

A man suspected of committing fraud against women through social networks has been detained in Azerbaijan, Report news agency reported citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

During the investigation, police officers found that Ismail Babayev, born in 1996, offered women paid services for listening to the phone and reading messages, hacking social media accounts. If women refused to pay, he distributed their phone numbers and made publications about their alleged provision of intimate services.

In total, 14 facts of extortion from women of various amounts were revealed.

The investigation into the fact is ongoing.
