Fraud trial begins

Preliminary investigation of a criminal case against Elsevar Gashimov, accused of fraud, has completed in Baku, Report news agency reported.

The case has been transferred to the Baku Grave Crimes Court and will be considered under the chairmanship of Judge Siyavush Hajiyev. The date of the preparatory hearing has not yet been specified.

E. Gashimov is accused of embezzling 260,000 manat from the victim Madad Bayramov. He was charged under article 178.3.2 (fraud causing major damage) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
