The case of four defendants in the “Terter case” was lodged to court

The criminal case of four defendants in the “Terter case” – Vusal Aleskerov, Rashid Niftaliyev, Ramil Garayev and Rustam Aleskerov – was transferred to the Baku Military Court, oxu.az reports. It will be considered under the chairmanship of Judge Jamal Ramazanov.

192 people were recognized as victims in the case.

Thus, in December 2021, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan made decisions to resume proceedings in criminal cases related to the Tetersky case. After that, in the course of the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that some servicemen used torture against their colleagues, unlawfully deprived them of their liberty, and abused their official powers. They were charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen against them.
