Foreigners with counterfeit dollars detained in Baku

Foreign citizens who tried to exchange counterfeit dollars in a bank were detained in Baku, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry.

On February 16, 2023, at about 2:00 pm, two foreigners handed over 12 counterfeit 50-dollar bills to one of the banks in the Yasamal district.

They were detained by officers of the District Security Department and transferred to the 26th police station.

The matter is under investigation.
