Drug gang members detained

Employees of the 3rd police department of the Khazar District Police Department during operations carried out in the village of Bina detained gang members involved in drug trafficking, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Elnur Asadov and 7 other members of the gang headed by him turned out to be detained. During the investigation, it was established that E. Asadov, at the direction of an unknown Iranian citizen, whom he met on social networks, created a drug trafficking gang in Baku. As a result of operational and technical measures, the connections of the head of the gang with an Iranian citizen, which arose as a result of the purchase and sale of drugs, were proved. During the inspection of Elnur Asadov’s house and car, about 1 kg of heroin and methamphetamine was found and confiscated.

In the course of other operations carried out by police officers, Ilgar Zamanov and Fuad Gasimov were detained, who stole from 5 houses, a store, and 9 cars in the Hovsan village.

According to these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, and the investigation is ongoing.

Thus, as a result of operations carried out by employees of the 3rd police department, since the beginning of the year, a total of 26 people involved in drug trafficking in the village of Bina and adjacent territories have been detained and handed over to the investigation.
