Over the past 20 days, employees of the Main Department for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan have carried out a series of operations to identify and capture accomplices of persons who, under various fictitious names, smuggled large consignments of drugs from Iran to our country, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs .

So, as a result, 38 members of three organized groups were detained. 174 kg of various drugs, psychotropic substances, electronic scales and 6,000 ecstasy and methadone tablets were seized from illegal circulation. It was established that the main suppliers of drugs to the country were Malik Agayev, Khanan Jafarov, his friend Alyshan Gadirov, Ramil Kerimov and Samir Makhmudov.

It turned out that Ramil Kerimov, who was detained in the Yevlakh region, is one of the main organizers of the distribution of drugs in the Ganja-Gazakh region. In order not to attract attention, he hid them in a cemetery located in the Yevlakh region.

It was established that Malik Agayev, who was detained in the Astara region with 40 kg of narcotic drugs, planned to send a large amount of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana to Baku on the orders of a drug dealer living in Iran for the purpose of selling.
