The investigation into the criminal case of officials of the State Service for Property and Municipalities has been completed

The investigation of the criminal case against officials of the State Property Service, the executive branch and chairmen of municipalities has been completed, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Thus, on the basis of information received about the illegal actions of officials of the State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy, a criminal case was initiated in the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan and a preliminary investigation was carried out. In total, 19 persons are involved in the criminal case.

The criminal case was sent to the Baku Grave Crimes Court for consideration, with charges being brought under Articles 308.2 (abuse of official powers that entailed grave consequences), 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3 (repeated receipt of a large bribe by a group of persons who had previously conspiracy), 312-1 (illegal influence on the decision of an official) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the election of preventive measures in the form of arrest, house arrest, removal from office and transfer to police supervision against the accused.
