Drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

On April 13, 2023, at 23:50, smuggling of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was stopped on the territory of the Frontier Outpost Service of the Goytepe Border Detachment of the State Border Service (SBS), Report news agency reported citing the press service of the SBS.

Thus, as a result of the operational search activities, a resident of the Shemkir district, Gurbanov Vugar Hidayat oglu, born in 1982, was detained as a suspect. 20 kg 400 g of narcotic drugs were found and confiscated from the detainee.
